Recently we discovered a bug on the Musical Trading Place website. Some people didn't recieve their confirmation email and therefore never could enter the site as a member. We at Musical Trading Place corrected the error and now everybody has access to the site.
The last couple of months we have added several new options for members. You have to be logged in to see them in the menu :

There are many more changes coming in the near future. Let's make The Musical Trading Place a home for many collectors. If you don't want to recieve our regular newsletter, please unsubscribe below.
The musical trader database is available. You need to log in before you can access the database. We are still working to improve the database for easier use. After that we will load all our old data into the new database. But if you want to have a look, be our guest ! You can start adding your own collector items right away. You don't have to wait.
The upcoming months we are working on a complete new website. Check back regularly to see the improvements. All the old musical articles you can find in our Archive section. Since those articles were designed for the previous website, some appear to be 'broken'. I hope to fix all of them in the near future.
You will also notice that some things from the previous website are not available at the moment. For instance our trader database. This will also be fixed in the next couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy the new look and feel.
I got several requests to bring back the forum. Our last forum was not integrated with the rest of the website. (seperate login, not integrated with your profile on the site). This forum is !. So take a look at the forum and post messages as much as you want. If you have some brilliant ideas for topics inside the forum, then let me know. The new forum has seperate area's for guests and members. So If you want to see all of it, you have either to register and/or login.
Today I will do some maintenance on the site to improve the overall look and feel. One of the things you will notice is that the little flags to translate the site in your own language are gone. Well, they are not really gone, but I moved them to the bottom of the page. I hope you all enjoy the changes.
In 2000 a musical version with a book by John Caird and music and lyrics by Paul Gordon was made. In this version Marla Schaffel played the role of Jane and James Stacy Barbour was Rochester.
This is the only recording from Jane Eyre I have in my collection and it’s really wonderful! One CD which is a must for the musical fan. Especially the numbers ‘Sirens’ and ‘Brave Enough for Love’ are amazing. In the future I would like to have also the Toronto Cast Recording, which is made in 1995.
Orphaned as an infant, and sent to a harsh charity school, Jane Eyre's independent and spirited nature remains unbroken. She finds employment as a governess at Thornfield Hall, where the enigmatic Mr. Rochester is haunted by secrets of the past that threatens both of their happiness. For the complete Synopsis and Libretto I accommodate you to go the following site (see source).
At the end of this month I’m going to visit this musical in Belgium with some friends of me. Because we are there for three day we’re also going to visit Antwerpen, so a nice long weekend it will be. When I’m back, you’ll here more from me about the headlines of this production!
Do you also want to visit this production, or just some more information? Just visit the website http://www.janeeyre.be
Well, a long time did pass, but here I am again. The past year I was very busy with my study and a lot of other activities so unfortunately for me there wasn’t much time to spend to write for the site.
But the last week I came back to this site and what did I find: 124 members!! This can really be so amazing. Imagine: some members who wants to write their own experiences of visits of musicals, or just talking about the best songs. Of course we are also here because of the title of this site, trading! And then you are on the right place: the database is growing and growing… Look at all these pieces of gold, because that is what it is for a lot of small collectors.
I started three or four years ago collecting musicals with a girlfriend of mine. Our first recording was Elisabeth (the Dutch musical). After this nice CD we did find the Phantom of the Opera in the library in the city we live. An amazing experience! So on we collected more and more, bought a lot CD’s by ourselves and then we find out there are more of this crazy people in the world who likes musicals! And here we are, 320 Albums we collected by far and about 100 albums I listen that much that I can sing along the most parts.
The point I want to make is that a collector is never ready with collecting when he or she doesn’t have the complete works from the past. And then there’s also the musical industry of today: in almost every country there are producers working around the clock to create a spectacular musical in their own language and to give the audience a wonderful show.
Now I want to start writing some own experiences of musicals I visited the last year. Later on I want to catch up on my musical collection because it isn’t ‘up to date’ anymore.
After these activities I hope that people from around the world are also enthusiastic to set up this ‘trading place’ and that we can inform each other about the best musicals! Even if it is just one review, I’ll be happy to read it!
Conclusion
For the new members: just look around. Think about the message I wrote above. Comments to make this site better are always welcome. Just comment on this message! And when you are interested to join the club, don’t be afraid and sign up!
For the old members: Visit the site regularly and read the newest topics. Also I hope I did make you a little bit more aware of this opportunity to give this site a boost of life!
Finally I was able to create a working form, so people can add there collections to the database. You have to register and log in. In the user menu you will see 3 new options. Now you can add your CD's, view a list of your CD's and view a list of all CD's in the database. Soon more options will be added to handle video and DVD.
Due to lack of interest (from the visitors) the contest anounced below will be off. Hopefully we can start a new contest in the near future. It would be nice if you write a comment from time to time. And I really need some co-writers to fill these pages. If you are interested, please mail me.
